Who is Lord Hanuman?

Born to Anjana and Kesari and blessed with the favor of the wind god, Vayu, Hanuman is also referred to as Pavan Putra (son of the wind).

One of the main characters of the Ramayana, where he is a great help in the mission of Lord Rama in the rescue of Sita from Ravana.

His selfless dedication and bravery in his loyalty make him not only a legendary warrior, but an icon in the hearts of millions.

Hanuman Jayanti is observed on the full moon day (Purnima) in Chaitra month, which happens to be the months of March or April. Hanuman Jayanti in 2025 is on 13th April.
